InTouch Health Achieves HITRUST CSF Certification

This Achievement Further Mitigates Risk In Third Party Privacy, Security, And Compliance

SANTA BARBARA, CA, December 7, 2017 – InTouch Health, the leading enterprise telehealth platform, today announced its telehealth services [1] have earned Certified status for information security by the Health Information Trust (HITRUST) Alliance. With the HITRUST CSF Certified Status, InTouch Health’s telehealth services meet key healthcare regulations and requirements for protecting and securing sensitive, private healthcare information.

HITRUST CSF Certified Status indicates that the organization’s telehealth services have met industry-defined requirements and is appropriately managing risk and places InTouch Health in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification.

By including federal and state regulations, standards and frameworks, and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST CSF helps organizations address these challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.

“Healthcare providers are under great pressure to meet complex compliance requirements that include technical and process elements such as HIPAA, ISO and others,” said Greg Brallier, Vice President of Technical Service and HIPAA Compliance Officer at InTouch Health. “The HITRUST CSF is the gold-standard that needs to be met, and InTouch Health is pleased to be able to demonstrate its commitment by achieving HITRUST CSF Certification.”

“HITRUST has been working with the industry to ensure the appropriate information protection requirements are met when sensitive health information is accessed or stored in a cloud environment. By taking the steps necessary to obtain HITRUST CSF Certified Status, InTouch Health is distinguished as an organization that people can count on to keep their information safe,” said Ken Vander Wal, Chief Compliance Officer, HITRUST.
